Darren and I boarded a smaller cruise ship for a quick 2 day trip to the Bahamas. We woke up on Thursday in the Bahamas and the weather was hot and sunny. We left the ship and took a water taxi to Paradise Island, the very luxurious playground for the rich and famous. We went to Atlantis www.atlantis.com/photosvideos.aspx which is an amazing hotel, casino, waterpark, aquarium, private beach, and much more.

             

The part of the hotel that looks like a sky bridge is actually a suite. It cost $25,000 per night with a 4 night minimum booking. People like Oprah, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, etc stayed there. And the suite is booked up for 5 years.

We went into the beach area and spent the afternoon walking around looking at the most amazing waterpark we’ve ever seen. We sat on the beach for a little while then started back towards the hotel. There is a Marine Habitat where we walked into a tunnel and the fish, sharks, sting rays, etc swam above our heads. I’ve been in one of these before in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia at their aquarium but it wasn’t nearly this big.

 

Back to the ship and back to Ft Lauderdale.
