The wig is ready and adventures of the first wig mishap in public.
Bonnie and I headed off to Abbotsford to pick up my wig. The lady had adjusted the size and it seemed to fit well but it still looked like I had “big hair”. She put a skull cap under the wig to help stop the wig from slipping on my own hair. It felt quite secure so I decided to keep the wig on while we went for lunch. I was happily chatting to Bonnie when I felt the wig slide back a little, at the same moment Bonnie said “your wig is moving, you need to go and fix it now.” I jumped up and headed to the bathroom but before I got to the door I felt the wig pop off my head completely before it landed on the floor behind me. With lightening speed I scooped up the wig and skull cap and ran into the bathroom. By this time my own hair was flat and limp so I had no choice but to put the wig back on. I was laughing when I reached the table and told Bonnie we have to leave now. We continued to giggle as we drove home. I pulled the wig off when I got in the car.
I collected Abby from school and modeled the wig for her. She could not help the smile from spreading across her face when she saw me. She said it looked like a helmet and she was right I need to get some hair cut off it. Mel came to pick Abby up and reassured me that she could cut it to make it fit to my head better. We decided to do this after my own hair falls out.
